Wound and Ostomy Care

Anderson Hospital’s Wound and Ostomy Center consists of highly-skilled, certified nurses who work in cooperation with your primary care or specialty physician to promote healing and wellness while managing complicated wounds. The nurses provide the highest level of medical service for problematic, hard to heal wounds while offering you treatment options to best fit your personal needs.
The Wound and Ostomy Center coordinates care with general, plastic, orthopedic, vascular and endovascular physicians. This partnership allows for the convenience of seeing both the nurse and the physician all in one visit for our patients. 

When patients enter the Wound and Ostomy Center at Anderson Hospital, they are treated with dignity and respect, as well as competence and expertise. The patients feel compassion and caring while receiving the best care possible.

 We provide the highest level of medical services for problematic hard to heal wounds, including:
• Diabetic Ulcers
• Pressure Ulcers
• Vascular Ulcers
• Venous and Arterial Ulcers
• Acute wounds not responding to therapy
• Draining Wounds
• Fistulas

The registered nurses in the Wound and Ostomy Center work closely with other disciplines to refer patients as they see fit. Many patients struggle with Diabetes and are referred to our Diabetes Specialist or Dietician for consultation.
