Commitment to Accessibility 

Anderson Hospital is committed to providing digital accessibility for all users, including individuals with disabilities. We believe everyone should have equal access to information, services, and resources available through our website. We aim to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act Title II and Title III and to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. 

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continually work to improve the usability and accessibility of our website for all users.

Known Limitations 

Some third-party content or integrations may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA standards. We are actively working with vendors and internal teams to improve accessibility in these areas wherever possible.

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the website currently have known limitations:

  • Accessible documents (PDFs, Word, Excel)
  • Facebook feed plugin
  • Provider search plugin
  • Google Translate plugin
  • Reading Age

What We're Doing 

Anderson Hospital uses multiple tools, including WAVE, Silktide, and RAMP, to perform both automated and manual accessibility testing. We continuously review and enhance our website to improve accessibility and conform to WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines. 

Currently, we are working on: 

  • Talking with plugin providers about making our 3rd-party plugins accessible
  • Updating our Mega Menu for accessible tabs
  • Continuing to add appropriate aria-labels throughout the website
