Cancer Care Services at Anderson Hospital

Patients will continue to receive cancer care at the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center in Maryville. Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible. Cancer care services will remain available locally, allowing patients and families to continue receiving treatment close to home in a familiar setting.

Beginning August 2026, Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois will provide:

• Medical Oncology
• Hematology Services
• Infusion Therapy
• Radiation Oncology Services
• Access to Clinical Research and Clinical Trials

Radiation therapy treatments will continue to be provided at the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center by Anderson Hospital staff, with radiation oncologists contracted through Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois.

Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois (CCSI) is a physician-led oncology practice serving patients throughout Central and Southern Illinois. With 22 locations across the state, CCSI provides comprehensive cancer care through a multidisciplinary approach that brings together physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff focused on personalized treatment and patient-centered care.

In addition to providing medical oncology, hematology, and radiation oncology services, CCSI is involved in cancer research studies and clinical trials aimed at advancing treatment, recovery, and prevention, giving eligible patients access to emerging treatment options. It is nationally acknowledged for its vital contributions in this field and has earned several awards from the National Cancer Institute and the American Society of Clinical Oncology in recognition of its excellent cancer research program.
