Student Nurse Tech Positions

Gain valuable, hands-on experience while working alongside our clinical team. As a student nurse tech, you’ll provide direct patient care, including vital signs, hygiene, nourishment, mobility, and other activities of daily living, while also developing advanced clinical skills under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a nursing program
  • Must have completed at least one clinical rotation

Earn to Learn Program (Student Nurse Intern)

Take the next step in your nursing journey with a paid internship during your final semester. Through the Earn to Learn Program, selected students complete their preceptorship hours at Anderson while earning a flat hourly rate. This program offers immersive, real-world experience designed to prepare you for a successful transition into a full-time nursing role.

Program Commitment:

Must commit to one year of employment with Anderson Healthcare after hire as a new graduate.

RN Scholarship Opportunities

We invest in your future because your growth strengthens our entire healthcare community. After one year of employment, nurses pursuing an initial or advanced nursing degree may be eligible for the Nursing Scholarship Program. Additional scholarship opportunities are also available through the Anderson Auxiliary and Anderson Medical Staff for those pursuing healthcare degrees.

Tuition Assistance Programs

Continue your education with financial support designed to help you advance your nursing career.

Programs Include:

  • RN to BSN Program: In partnership with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Anderson covers costs for associate degree nurses to earn their BSN.
  • Tuition & Certification Reimbursement: Financial assistance for employees seeking additional education or professional certifications.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Employed for at least 90 days
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per pay period

Nurse Residency Program

Start your nursing career with confidence through a structured, supportive transition program. Our Nurse Residency Program is designed to help new graduates successfully move from student to professional nurse by strengthening clinical skills, enhancing decision-making, and addressing knowledge gaps.

Program Highlights:

  • Supportive environment with mentorship and team building
  • Educational sessions led by clinical specialists in:
    • Vascular access
    • Wound and ostomy care
    • Cardiac rhythm interpretation
    • Code blue and rapid response
    • Safe patient handling
    • Respiratory care
    • Care coordination

STAR Preceptor Program

At Anderson, we recognize that great nurses help shape great nurses. Our STAR Preceptor Program supports experienced nurses who mentor students, new graduates, and newly hired team members. This program enhances teaching and leadership skills while recognizing preceptors through a tiered financial reward system.
