Anderson Hospital is hosting a cholesterol screening on Friday, July 19th, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at our Health Management Center. For only $25 and just a simple finger stick, you can receive a lipid panel, glucose, blood pressure screening, and BMI within 8-10 minutes. To schedule your appointment, call 618-391-6712 or email our team at [email protected].
The Health Management Center is on the WEST side of the Hospital, adjacent and "under" the Emergency Department.

On Friday, April 21, Anderson Hospital held its Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in recognition of National Volunteer Week at the Leclaire Room in Edwardsville. We were so excited to be able to celebrate our Auxiliary volunteers IN PERSON once again!
Volunteers were treated to a delicious meal from Bella Milano and amazing entertainment from the Edwardsville High School Choir’s acapella voices of Bel Canto and AcaFellaz!
The Auxiliary presented the hospital with its annual donation during the event. The donation, which reflects funds raised in 2022, totaled $75,000. This annual donation is made possible through the Auxiliary Gift Shop and fundraising events the volunteers hold/sponsor throughout the year.
Today, the Auxiliary has over 100 active volunteer members and is an integral part of Anderson Hospital. Active Volunteers provide direct services to the Emergency, O.B. and Outpatient Surgery Departments, as well as being “on call” from the Volunteer Office. They manage information desks at public entrances including those at the Cancer Center and Wellness Center. Volunteers are the sole proprietors of our hospital’s Gift Shop managing staff, purchasing inventory, and all inventory management.
“The Auxiliary remains as dedicated and instrumental as ever in the continuing operation of Anderson Hospital,” said Keith A. Page, Anderson Hospital President and CEO. “We thank them for their many hours of service and commitment to making a difference in Anderson Hospital.”

The Anderson Hospital Foundation’s 2021 Gala is going virtual! The January Gala may best be described as an “interactive website” which will be open to participants January 29 thru the 31st. Lori St. John, Foundation Event Manger, is working with GiveSmart, an industry leader in fundraising software, to bring a fun and interactive event to life, virtually.
While we will miss the fellowship and networking that occurs when physically gathered for a cause, there are some great advantages to a virtual event! One of the best advantages is anyone can participate…from anywhere! Guests can navigate to the website from the comfort of their own home using the device of their choice. “The Givesmart Module allows guests to bid on their phones,” explained Lori. “They will also get phone updates on their bid as the auction continues.”
The website will feature “How to” videos from the Foundation Board’s Lendell Phelps, instructing guests on how to navigate the website and participate in the auction. “The items they will bid on will be Covid friendly and will be parties of 10 or 20, things to do close to home or items for the home,” said Lori.
The 2021 Gala is titled, Hometown Heroes, and will feature a video showcasing a day in the life of some of our very own hospital heroes. Lori is especially excited to offer past participants an extra special benefit. “Guests from our 2020 event will receive a special save the date card in the mail and will receive a special gift the week of the event,” explained Lori. The gift will include some special items including a recipe from the Chef at the Four Seasons. “A video of the Chef making the recipe will be on the website and guests can make it during the event or whenever they want to enjoy it!”
Lori is hoping guests will make a fun evening out of it. “I hope guests will dress up and celebrate safely with friends,” said Lori. Many virtual event guests host small parties and share their experiences with friends and family over Facebook. “I hope we see photos of the finished meals and everyone dressed up!”
