ExpressCare Centers

At Anderson Hospital, we understand that healthcare needs don't always adhere to a schedule. That's why we are proud to offer Anderson ExpressCare Centers - a convenient and accessible solution for your non-emergency medical needs, seven days a week. When you are in need of immediate medical care for an issue that's not life-threatening, you can go to one of our ExpressCare Centers.

What is an ExpressCare Center?

Anderson ExpressCare Centers are walk-in medical facilities staffed by a team of experienced healthcare professionals ready to provide high-quality care when needed. Whether you have a minor illness, a sprain, or require routine medical services, our ExpressCare Centers are designed to deliver prompt and efficient care without the need for an appointment. ExpressCare does not replace your physician's office or the emergency department but complements the services each provides.

ExpressCare Center Billing Notice
Your ExpressCare visit will be billed as an Urgent Care Visit (revenue code 456).  Revenue codes are three-digit numbers that are used on insurance claims to tell the insurance companies where the patient was when they received treatment. Since patient insurance coverage plans differ greatly, we urge you to contact your insurance provider prior to your visit to confirm Urgent Care (revenue code 456) is covered under your plan. Patient co-pays and deductibles are set by your insurance provider, not Anderson ExpressCare. Knowing your coverage plan details and how your insurance carrier will administrate the bill is key to avoiding misinformation.

Express Care is an outpatient department of Anderson Hospital.

You will receive two bills for the services you receive at Anderson Hospital Express Care. One bill will be the hospital facility charges for the outpatient department, which includes but is not limited to the technicians, staff, technical charges for lab tests and medical imaging, any medical supplies that might be used, and nursing care. The second bill will be for the physician or nurse practitioner professional services, including but not limited to the services of physicians who see you in Express Care and physicians who interpret labs or x-rays.

You are not being “double billed” by Anderson Hospital, but receiving two separate bills reflecting separate hospital and professional services.
All physicians, physicians' assistants, and nurse practitioners providing services in this hospital are independent contractors or provide service under contract. They are not employees, agents, or servants of Anderson Hospital. These professionals are responsible for their own medical judgement, actions, and billing.
