Anderson Hospital collaborates with Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois (CCSI) to give residents of the Metro East convenient access to integrated cancer care services. At Anderson Hospital’s Warren Billhartz Cancer Center in Maryville, Ill., patients receive personalized treatment from experienced oncology specialists in a supportive and healing environment. The center also houses The Friends of Hope Breast Diagnostic Center, offering convenient access to breast screening and diagnostic services.

Trusted Oncology Services
At the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center, you will receive care from a highly qualified and experienced team of cancer specialists from CCSI, including medical and radiation oncologists. The team takes a personalized approach to cancer treatment, developing a care plan based on your diagnosis, health, and individual needs.
Supportive and integrative therapies are also available to help patients throughout treatment. Eligible patients may have opportunities to participate in cancer clinical trials and access emerging treatment options.

Cancer Treatment at the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center
The oncology team at the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center provides chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, infusion therapy, and other cancer treatments. Your care team will explain your options and help determine the appropriate treatment plan for you.

Since 1977, Anderson Hospital has remained an independent health system, allowing us to build strategic partnerships that support our mission and expand access to exceptional care for the communities we serve. Anderson Hospital is proud to partner with Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois as the oncology provider at the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center.
CCSI is one of Illinois’ largest physician-led oncology practices, providing medical oncology, hematology, and radiation oncology services at locations throughout Central and Southern Illinois.
The practice takes a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, bringing together experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technology, and coordinated support services to provide personalized care for each patient.
Through this partnership, the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center provides comprehensive oncology services Monday through Friday, giving patients access to high-quality cancer care close to home.

Anderson Hospital Infusion Suite
As part of the continued evolution of services at the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center, Anderson Hospital is proud to offer the Anderson Hospital Infusion Suite. This outpatient service was established to ensure our community continues to have convenient access to many of the infusion and injection therapies patients have come to rely on—all in the familiar setting of the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center.
Located alongside Radiation Oncology, the Anderson Hospital Infusion Suite provides physician-ordered infusion and injection treatments for patients who are not receiving care through CCSI. Our experienced team is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care close to home. Patients will continue to be welcomed by the same caring professionals they know and trust, including infusion nurse Susan Stumpf, whose dedication has been a comforting presence for many throughout the years.
Services Available at Our Infusion Suite
The Anderson Hospital Infusion Suite provides a variety of outpatient infusion and injection therapies, including:
Iron infusions
Prolia®
Reclast®
Evenity®
Gastroenterology (GI) infusion medications
Neurology infusion medications
IV antibiotics
Additional physician-ordered infusion therapies
Referring physicians do not need to be members of the Anderson Hospital Medical Staff to order infusion treatments in the Anderson Hospital Infusion Suite.

The Friends of Hope Breast Diagnostic Center
In addition to comprehensive cancer treatment, Anderson Hospital provides breast screening, diagnosis, and intervention services through The Friends of Hope Breast Diagnostic Center. Located within the Warren Billhartz Cancer Center, the center offers advanced breast imaging and biopsy services in a comfortable, compassionate environment.
Services include:
- 3D screening mammograms
- Diagnostic mammograms
- Stereotactic breast biopsies
- Ultrasound-guided breast biopsies
Patients may schedule a screening mammogram without a physician referral. A referral is required for other breast diagnostic services.
Specialized Breast Care
Anderson Hospital also provides specialized care for cancerous and noncancerous breast conditions, including:
- Breast abscesses
- Breast cancer
- Breast cysts
- Fibroadenomas
- Mastalgia, or breast pain
- Mastitis, or inflammation of breast tissue
Available in-office and surgical procedures include:
- Axillary dissection
- Breast conservation therapy, or lumpectomy
- Nipple-sparing mastectomy
- Sentinel lymph node biopsy
- Skin-sparing mastectomy
- Ultrasound-guided biopsy and aspiration
Meet the Breast Diagnostic Provider
Patricia Teschke, MD, is an experienced breast surgeon dedicated to providing personalized, patient-centered care. She supports patients throughout their care, from diagnosis and treatment planning through surgery and follow-up. Dr. Teschke also emphasizes the importance of breast cancer screening and early detection.
