Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Anderson Hospital provides pediatric emergency medical services in our ER through a partnership with SSM Health Cardinal Glennon. The board-certified physicians provide 24/7 emergent care and treat all pediatric patients from infants to adolescents.
Pediatric Emergency Care
At the pediatric ER, we take a collaborative approach to handling emergencies involving young patients. The staff has the medical experience and resources to respond to any level of care, including:
- Asthma attacks and trouble breathing
- Belly pain
- Cough, cold, and flu symptoms
- Concern for broken bones
- Cuts and scrapes
- Dehydration
- Fever
- Head injuries
- Vomiting and Diarrhea
Our staff, along with SSM Health Cardinal Glennon pediatricians, will work closely with your child’s primary care physician for follow-up care upon leaving the hospital. In certain medical cases, it may be necessary to refer pediatric patients to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital for further evaluation and testing.
