The Anderson Hospital Surgical Services Department is committed to the health of the communities we serve. Within minutes of your home, board-certified surgeons and board-certified anesthesiologists are available to provide the best possible surgical services and care. Surgeries at Anderson Hospital
The Surgical Services Department has advanced operating suites, utilizing the latest medical technology and surgical equipment. In fact, Anderson Hospital was the first hospital in Southern Illinois to acquire the da Vinci Si Surgical System in 2010. The state-of-the-art robotic system allows surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgeries through a small incision with precision and minimal blood loss.
Anderson Hospital’s board-certified surgeons perform over 11,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries annually in the following specialties:

Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery Protocols
At Anderson Hospital, most surgical procedures are done on an outpatient basis, meaning you can leave the hospital on the same day. You will receive personalized care in private rooms before and after the surgery. However, if you need to stay at the hospital for a longer period, you can be directly admitted. If your surgical plan requires an overnight stay, you will be admitted to the surgery department. After the procedure, you will be moved from the post-op recovery room to your hospital room.
