The fight against cancer comes in all colors.  This April, the American Cancer Society honored all those fighting cancer through their annual Colors of Cancer event.  The Anderson Mercy Cancer Care team honored one of their own, Tamla Beisner.  Tamla is a cancer survivor of two cancers and is a chemotherapy infusion nurse with Anderson Mercy Cancer Care.  She knows first-hand what it is like to hope, to fight and WIN!  Tamla was tasked with a fundraising goal of $1500 and through the success of a t-shirt sale, she and her team at Anderson Mercy were proud to present a check to the American Cancer Society for $6,223.43!

The fundraising shirt was made extra-special by featuring artwork of a very talented artist and staff member, Jessica Simpson, as well as slogans created by Anderson Hospital nurse, Kelly Deatherage.  Tamla and her team spent days hand-delivering over 800 shirts to staff from all over Anderson Healthcare who purchased a shirt (or more) in support of all those fighting cancer!  Your fight is our fight and we will hope, fight and reach a cure together!
