Kimberly Scott, CNA, was selected as the 2025 4th Quarter Lily Award Winner. Kim, a CNA on 2nd Medical, received 3 nominations in 4th quarter, in addition to 3 other nominations earlier in 2025.
Kimberly's recent nominations read:
#1 'I am writing this to nominate Kim for the Lily award. I am also writing on behalf of both myself and my 93-year-old mother who has been in the hospital for almost a week. My mother asked me to write this, and I totally agree and was very happy to do it. Mom said that she has been extraordinary in her job. Kim comes when needed with a sweet smile on their face and a very positive attitude. They do their job like they really enjoy it. Kim always takes good care of my mom and makes sure she is well taken care of and comfortable. She visits while working like an old friend. Even the most menial task is done with such a great attitude and gentleness. My mom and I have decided we'd like to take her home with us. Kim truly should be nominated for this award. Going over and above what is expected with her great attitude and gentle way with people. It has truly been a pleasure to see her walk through the door.'
#2 'At times when I had no visitors, Kim seemed to always show up at just the right time. They always checked to see if I needed anything. But beyond that, they became friends in a short amount of time. Kim’s personality made that easy. I will never forget how they stayed by my side during a very trying time. She never complained, just took care of me. I think of her often. Anderson Hospital should be proud to have her.'
#3 'Kim is a true gem. As I am sure you are aware, a hospital stay is not on anyone's bucket list, but her people skills make such an experience quite tolerable. Technical skills are of course important but skills such as Kim’s are important to the patient’s mental well-being. She lights up the room when she enters to perform duties in a superior manner. Her attitude to the patients makes them feel they are important and that Kim cares about their well-being. A bouquet of lilies isn't sufficient for her; she deserves the whole field of lilies. May the good Lord hug her as they hug so many.'
